I'm constantly disappointed with savory crackers but I love these! Kate from Lifespark Nutrition gave me this recipe and some flavouring ideas, I love the garlic powder flavour so much I have never tried her other ideas.
They are super easy to make
1 cup Grain Free Porridge
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp of sea /rock salt
2Tbs Psyllium husk
tsp of ground cumin
tsp of onion flakes/powder or garlic powder
Other flavour options 4Tb finely grated parmesan, 2Tb nutritional yeast
Pre heat oven to 180.
Add the porridge to a bowl with all the dry ingredients and mix well, making sure no lumps. Then add in water, stir well and let sit for 3-5 mins while chia seeds combine ingredients.
Line a large flat baking tray with baking paper. Add the mixture to it. Using another large piece of baking paper, place over the mixture and press it out as thin as you can so that the mixture spreads well over the tray. Sprinkle over a little more sea/ rock salt.
Place cracker mixture in oven for 15 mins, then take out, score using a sharp knife of pizza knife. Let them cool for 10 mins (this will make them crispy) Place back in for another 8-10mins until slightly golden. Take out let cool and should be crunchy. Store in an airtight container.
